Ramla, the city of three religions and abundance of colors and flavors - where has the magnificent city gone, which rose from the sands and was once the capital of the entire region? What did the Crusaders find in Ramla, and what did Napoleon do there?
I invite you to a fascinating and surprising tour of Ramla, where you will find magnificent history, impressive buildings, and presence of various currents in the three religions. We will visit a magnificent Crusader church that has become a large mosque, a Catholic church hiding surprising works of art, and learn about the sanctity seen by the Christians who came to the city.
We will admire the impressive White Tower, which has become the city's recognizable landmark, and learn about the splendor and power of Ramla at its inception. We will meet the Karaite community whose center is in the city and learn about their way of life, and stroll through the colorful market where we can find a variety of delightful flavors and other surprises!
And for dessert of this fascinating tour day, we will visit the breathtaking Lod Mosaic, a unique museum preserving one of the most impressive mosaics discovered in Israel and currently housed in a special museum in the city of Lod.
