 Our Suggested Itinerary - Explore a past Aujo Travel trip for your next adventure

Day 1 I Marrakech

Fly to Marrakech. Upon arrival in the red city, we recommend taking an initial stroll, getting acquainted with the Djemaa el Fna Square.


Day 2 I High Atlas Mountains - Imlil Village

In the morning, we will leave Marrakech and begin our ascent to the majestic High Atlas Mountains. Our journey will take us through villages in the lush heart of the desert outskirts around Marrakech. We will have a brief interaction with the local population and embark on a beautiful trek along the Gigaya River in the Ouirgane Valley. After the mountain walk, we will pause for a leisurely lunch and continue our journey to one of the most picturesque villages in Morocco, the artistic village of Imlil, where we will stay in a local guesthouse.


Day 3 I Imlil - High Atlas Ridges - Ouzoud Waterfalls

In the morning, we will leave the enchanting village of Imlil and ascend to the highest and most impressive waterfalls in Morocco, the Ouzoud Waterfalls. We will hike along a scenic path overlooking the waterfalls, accompanied by friendly Barbary macaques. After this experience, we will move to our marvelous hotel situated above the magnificent Ouzoud Falls. A truly unique accommodation!


Day 4 I Ouzoud Waterfalls - Marrakech

In the morning, we will enjoy the breathtaking view of the Ouzoud Waterfalls, have a good breakfast, and depart towards the red city, Marrakech. Upon arrival in the city, we will embark on a tour of one of the most beautiful and fascinating cities in the world. Our journey begins in Koutoubia Square, and from there, we will go to one of the most unique squares globally – the Djemaa el Fna Square. Here, every evening, the square comes to life with jugglers, snake charmers, local stand-up comedians entertaining passersby, and numerous food stalls offering a variety of delicacies. After this exciting experience, we will head to Riad, an authentic local guesthouse, for our stay.


Day 5 I Marrakech

In the morning, after the small taste we received yesterday, we will explore the streets of Marrakech more deeply. Our tour will begin in the ancient alleys of Marrakech. We will hear the story of the interesting Jewish community that once resided in the city, enter the palace dedicated to the concubine of one of the Saadian dynasty ministers in the ancient capital of Marrakech. We will wander among the wide gardens of the palace and the living quarters and then continue to have a Moroccan lunch at one of the city's restaurants. For dessert, we will head to the picturesque markets of the city for a stroll through the bustling streets and have another sweet stop at Djemaa el Fna Square.


Day 6 I Marrakech - Atlantic Ocean - Essaouira

In the morning hours, we will leave Marrakech on our way to the beautiful coastal city resembling a painting, Essaouira. Here, in the Atlantic coastal city with Portuguese heritage, we will begin our visit with a local women's cooperative that processes argan tree kernels and produces various cosmetics. Perhaps we will also see the goats climbing the trees. From here, we will enter the beautiful beach city and go on a sunset tour on the city's picturesque walls, exploring the harbor and its seafood restaurants, and climbing the city walls for a breathtaking view of the picturesque and vibrant city and the thousands of seagulls circling over the abundance of fish coming from the ocean. We will go to admire the spectacular sunset and return to our accommodation for the night.


Day 7 I Beautiful Essaouira

In the morning hours, we will have time to wander through the old streets of Essaouira. If we want to learn about the city's Jewish story, we can find ourselves with a local guide exploring the Jewish cemetery and hearing the story of the Pinto family and the Jewish history of the city. We can also see the local synagogue, a significant Jewish center in Morocco in the 20th century. If desired, we can stop and relax on the beach, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, sipping a refreshing drink on the beach, we can wander in the harbor city and eat fish or seafood that has just arrived from the nearby port. We can also choose to take an unforgettable tractor tour that we will schedule for a wonderful sunset tour on the Atlantic Ocean beach.


Day 8 I Essaouira

On our last day, we will leave Essaouira for Marrakech. We will enter one of the unique shops in the city: Hassan Filali's spice shop, where we will learn about the traditions of natural healing methods based on the research of Maimonides, which are still used today. From here, we will continue to one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in the world, Majorelle Gardens, designed by the French painter Jacques Majorelle. The last hours before the flight will be dedicated to the last free time to bid farewell to the wonderful Morocco and the beautiful markets before boarding the plane back.
