Day 1 | Lima

IUpon arrival in Lima, we will head to a dinner in the Miraflores neighborhood. Overnight stay in Lima.


Day 2 | Lima - Ballestas Islands - Nazca Lines

A long day of travel awaits us. In the very early morning, we set out on a southbound journey along the Pacific Ocean coastline, one of the driest deserts on Earth. After a four-hour drive, we reach the port city of Pisco, from where we embark on an unforgettable boat trip to the Ballestas Islands, also known as the "Little Galapagos Islands." Here, we may observe sea lions, rare bird species, and more. If weather conditions permit, we'll explore the local market in the neighborhood. After this captivating boat excursion, we head to Pisco Airport for a unique flight over the mysterious Nazca Lines. These enigmatic geoglyphs, created during the pre-Inca period, can be best appreciated from the air. The Nazca Lines, drawn on the desert floor, were an inspiration for mythical stories during the Paracas period. After the flight, for those interested, we return to Lima for dinner in the Miraflores neighborhood.


Day 3 | Lima - Cusco

This morning, we will take a direct flight from Lima to Cusco, arriving around noon. Upon arrival, we embark on a city tour of Cusco, the fascinating Inca capital. After acclimatizing to the altitude at the hotel, we set out for our first city tour. We visit the Cathedral located on the central square, Plaza de Armas, which houses murals depicting the Spanish conquest. We will explore the charming churches and the unique markets that characterize Cusco. In the evening, we will climb to a vantage point for an unforgettable view of Cusco, including the statue of Christ near the ruins of Sacsayhuaman. In the evening, we will return to the city and head to the central square for a folkloric Indian show combined with dinner.


Day 4 | Cusco - Sacred Valley

This morning, we leave the Inca city of Cusco and head towards the indigenous population. We will travel to the Sacred Valley of the Urubamba River, known for being the center of Inca corn cultivation and, consequently, a sacred area. We stop at a center for the cultivation of llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas to see the traditional wool processing and weaving techniques. Continuing, we will visit the fortress and the Inca town of Ollantaytambo, located on the summit of Mount Nisha. We then will proceed to the colorful Indian markets of Chinchero and Pisac, known for their vibrancy. We won't miss the beautiful salt pans. Overnight in the Sacred Valley.


Day 5 | Sun Festival Celebration - Inti Raymi

Today, we will participate in the grand carnival of the Andes – the Sun Festival (Inti Raymi). Rooted in Inca traditions, this colorful event celebrates the shortest day of the year and incorporates religious ceremonies from the Inca period. The festivities focus on the Sacsahuaman fortress near Cusco. Enjoy a colorful and captivating day.


Day 6 | Machu Picchu - The Lost City

Today, we take a train along the Urubamba River valley to the legendary city of Machu Picchu, often referred to as the "Lost City" of the Incas. We will wander through the mysterious ruins, exploring temples and ancient streets. In the afternoon, we will return to Cusco.


Day 7 | Cusco to the Amazon Jungle - Puerto Maldonado

This morning, we bid farewell to Cusco and will depart for the airport, flying to our next destination, Puerto Maldonado, located in the heart of the Amazon Jungle. Upon arrival, we explore the fascinating market of the Amazon town and then embark on an unforgettable boat trip to the ecological lodges of Puerto Maldonado. Overnight at the ecological lodge in the Puerto Maldonado area.


Day 8 | Activities in the Amazon Jungle

This morning, we will venture into the Amazon Rainforest to explore its rich biodiversity and ecological system. During our stay, we will enjoy canoe rides on the small tributaries of the Amazon, nature walks, including night excursions, and visit the Jungle Lake. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the Jungle Canopy, where you can observe the magical panorama from above and possibly witness fascinating jungle creatures. Full board included.

Day 9 | Puerto Maldonado - Cusco

This morning, we will continue to explore the Amazon Jungle before returning to Puerto Maldonado town. In the evening, we will attend a local Indian music and folklore show. Overnight and dinner in Cusco.


Day 10 | Cusco - Rainbow Mountain - Puno

Vinicunca, better known as the "Rainbow Mountain," is located in the Peruvian Andes and rises to an altitude of about 5,200 meters. Renowned for its rare color palette, the Rainbow Mountain captivates visitors with a display of colors not found anywhere else in the world. Despite being surrounded by small villages, tourists only discovered this wonder in 2015, and guided tours began in early 2016. We will descend from the ridge to our lodging in Checacupe, not far from the road leading to Puno.


Day 11 | Puno - Uros Islands - Isla del Sol (Bolivia)

In the morning, we will embark on a boat trip to the Uros Islands, observing the daily life of the island residents living in huts made of reeds. Returning to the shore, we will journey along the shores of the highest navigable lake in the world (3,821 meters). Crossing the border into the Bolivian town of Copacabana, we will visit the cathedral and sail to the southern part of Isla del Sol. We will explore the Inca Gardens, see the sacred spring, and visit the remains of the ancient temple of Pilko Kaina, the local shaman's residence. Accommodation and dinner on Isla del Sol.


Day 12 | Copacabana - Isla de la Luna - La Paz

Continuing our exploration of Isla del Sol and Isla de la Luna, we will discover the cultural heritage of the Inca Kingdom, a significant point in organized tours to America. We'll then proceed through the Andean town of Copacabana to the bustling city of La Paz, situated at an altitude of 3,800 meters. Upon arrival, we will settle in our hotel and embark on an introductory tour of the indigenous city, characterized by one-story houses and vibrant markets. Overnight stay and dinner in La Paz.


Day 13 | La Paz - Oruro - Uyuni

In the morning, we will depart La Paz towards the indigenous city of Oruro on the Altiplano plateau, known as the colorful capital of Bolivian folklore. Oruro hosts an annual folklore festival in honor of the Virgin Mary. Boarding a train at the Oruro station, we'll travel to the town of Uyuni, located at the entrance of the Salar de Uyuni. We will spend the night there, including dinner.


Day 14 | Uyuni - 4x4 to Salar de Uyuni - Villamar

After breakfast, we'll board off-road vehicles and embark on a journey to the Salar de Uyuni. The Salar de Uyuni is a giant salt flat at an altitude of 3,653 meters, covering around 12,000 square kilometers. Once part of a prehistoric salt lake (Lake Minchin), it now consists of several saltwater lagoons, with Salar de Uyuni being the largest. The salt flat contains over 10 billion tons of salt. We will visit the surreal Fish Island (Isla de los Pescados), known for its amazing cactus vegetation. Along the lake's shores, there are several villages, with Colchani and Llica being the most significant. We'll cross the salt flat via a network of trails connecting the villages and small settlements. On our way, we'll visit the surrealistic cemetery of trains, and the villages of San Cristobal and Alota as we head towards the Valley of Rocks, unique and fascinating rock formations, and volcanic rocks that have solidified into captivating shapes. We'll continue our journey until we reach the town of Villa Mar, where we'll stay overnight, including dinner.


Day 15 | Villamar - Laguna Colorada - Salvador Dalí Rocks (4x4)

We'll drive to the border with Chile and Argentina, ascending to heights over 4500 meters through the Andes to Laguna Colorada (the Red Lagoon). The red hue of the lake's waters comes from the combination of red-tinted algae and the ground, making it the most important breeding ground for flamingos in the entire Altiplano. Continuing our journey, we'll visit the geysers "Sunrise," the hot springs of the Salar, and then proceed to the "Dali Desert," where immense rocks and volcanic formations rise from the ground, creating a surrealistic landscape reminiscent of the works of the Catalan painter Salvador Dali. Later, we'll visit Laguna Verde at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano, which is turquoise due to the minerals in its waters. The day includes packed lunch and dinner.


Day 16 | Villa Mar - Uyuni - Potosi

In the morning, we'll explore more of the Salar, then depart for Potosi. Potosi, also known as the "City of Silver," is one of the most unique and interesting cities in Peru. It is considered the highest city in the world (over 4,000 meters). Potosi was home to large silver deposits during the Spanish colonization, serving as the most important economic base for the Spaniards. Today, silver and zinc mines are still active in the area. Upon arrival, we'll check into a local hotel, including boxed lunch and dinner.


Day 17 | Potosi Silver Mines - Sucre

In the morning, we will visit the depths of the mines and tunnels, following the paths of the miners in search of silver and zinc. Upon entering the mine, we will receive special clothing, including coveralls, boots, and a headlamp (some tourists may choose to use antique magnesium lamps). After the briefing, we will take a walking tour inside the mine (not recommended for those with respiratory difficulties or claustrophobia). In the miners, we will witness the miners at work, using hammers and chisels, chewing on coca leaves, and sorting minerals based on weight. After the mine tour, we will depart for the city of Sucre. Overnight stay and dinner in Sucre.


Day 18 | Sucre - La Paz

In the morning, we will have some time to explore the beautiful markets of the important Bolivian city. Around noon, we will fly to La Paz to either continue the journey or take a short tour of the city.
