Days 1-2 | Sao Paulo - Into the Amazon Jungles

We'll start our journey with a flight to Sao Paulo, a bustling city in South America, landing at one of the busiest airports. From there, we'll continue our flight to Manaus, the capital of the Amazon, which grew prosperous due to the international rubber trade. Upon arrival in the city, we'll embark on an ecological lodge journey, spending our first night in the jungles of South America.


Days 3-4 | Manaus - Amazon Rainforest

After a restful sleep with the sounds of crickets and frogs, we'll embark on two amazing days of adventures in the Amazon rainforest. Our journey will begin with a boat trip to the meeting point of the rivers: Rio Negro (the Black River) and the Amazon River. The confluence of these two giant rivers creates a unique and stunning color blend. We'll then venture into the depths of the rainforest, exploring the ecological system and the diverse flora and fauna of the jungles. Our activities will include walking excursions and night activities. Accommodation, dinner, and lunch will be in the Amazon jungles.


Day 4 | Manaus - Salvador de Bahia

In the morning, we'll continue our journey through the Amazon jungle, leaving the lodge for Manaus and then flying to Salvador, the capital of the state of Bahia. Upon arrival, we'll transfer to the hotel and embark on a city tour to discover the fascinating culture, such as Capoeira martial arts born in the state of Bahia. We'll also explore the African traditions of the Candomblé culture and other captivating cultural phenomena of Salvador de Bahia.


Day 5 | Salvador de Bahia

Today, we'll embark on an unforgettable and fascinating tour of the historic center of Salvador: wandering through the old and new city, experiencing the Portuguese colonial past, strolling through the famous "Mercado Modelo" market, smelling the scents, and tasting flavors. We'll take the elevator from the new city to the old city, to the Pelourinho neighborhood, tracing the Afro-Brazilian culture and enjoying a Capoeira performance that combines dance. In the afternoon, we'll take a stroll along the beach to witness the sunset. Accommodation and dinner in Salvador.


Day 6 | To Chapada Diamantina Natural Reserve in Bahia State - Lençóis

After breakfast, we'll embark on a five-hour journey to Lençóis. The route from Lençóis westward passes through the desert regions of the Sertão and connects to the diamond mining region of the old city of Lençóis. The town itself and the surrounding national park, Chapada Diamantina, are a magical desert oasis, adorned with mountains rising to a height of 1,600 meters and valleys rich in vegetation and beautiful waterfalls. We'll settle in the hotel and embark on a pleasant and enjoyable walking route from Lençóis to the banks of the Rio Mucugezinho, dip in the waters, and bask a bit in the setting sun. We'll return to the town of Lençóis and begin our first acquaintance with its picturesque streets and colorful houses.

 

Days 7-8 | Lençóis and the Amazing Chapada Diamantina Nature Reserve

Two wonderful days await us, during which we will embark on visits to the enchanting Chapada Diamantina Nature Reserve. Our tour begins with a visit to the Nettuno Cave (A Lapa Doce Cave), from where we continue towards a magical viewpoint overlooking the Pai Inácio Table Mountains. From there, we will enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the valleys and unique mountains of the nature reserve. Continuing our journey, we will visit one of the highlights of the reserve, the Blue Cave (Gruta Azul), named after the color of the sunlight-filtered water at noon. We will explore the reserve as much as time allows, returning each evening for accommodation and dinner in Lençóis.


Day 9 | Returning to Salvador de Bahia

In the morning, we bid farewell to Lençóis and will head back to Salvador, where we will explore the city as much as time allows and conclude our visit with an unforgettable folklore performance combined with the unforgettable Candomblé ceremony. Overnight stay in Salvador.


Day 10 | Salvador - Rio de Janeiro - The City of the Gods

This morning, we will take a flight to Rio de Janeiro and embark on our first guided tour of the city. We will visit the towering Metropolitan Cathedral, stroll through the historic districts of Cinelândia, pass by the Municipal Theater, and make our way to the Pelourinho neighborhood at the entrance to Sugarloaf Mountain. After ascending Sugarloaf in the cable cars, we'll enjoy a breathtaking view of Rio de Janeiro's enchanting beaches and another magical peak, Corcovado. In the evening, we will meet a musician who will introduce us to various Brazilian music styles and typical instruments. Overnight stay in Rio.


Day 11 | Rio de Janeiro - Jeep Tour in Favelas - Corcovado Peak

This morning, we'll have time to explore more of the Amazon Jungle, returning to the base town of Porto Maldonado in the afternoon. From there, we will fly to Cusco. In the evening, we'll attend a folklore performance of Indian music. Overnight stay in Cusco.


Day 12 | Cusco to the Colonial Town of Paraty

In the morning, we'll embark on a journey to the colonial town of Paraty, which has preserved its charm since the 17th century. The scenic route passes along the sea, offering charming views of clear waters. The picturesque town, paved with stones and built in the Portuguese style, will be explored during a walking tour, including visits to various galleries and elegant coffee houses. Overnight stay in Paraty.


Day 13 | Sailing to the Tropical Islands of Paraty

This morning, we set sail on a yacht typical of this region of Brazil. We'll navigate between the islands, enjoying Brazilian music and exploring over 65 enchanting tropical islands in Paraty Bay, each with its unique features and lush, colorful vegetation year-round. Afternoon return to Paraty, followed by a refreshing shower and a lesson in the typical forró dance of the region. Overnight stay in Paraty.


Day 14 | Paraty - Rio de Janeiro - Rio's Beaches

After breakfast, we'll travel along the Ocean's coast on our way back to Rio de Janeiro. Upon arrival in the marvelous city (Cidade Maravilhosa), we will embark on a beach tour, exploring the three main beaches: Copacabana, Ipanema, and Leblon. We'll enjoy a lovely evening in this romantic city. Overnight stay in Rio de Janeiro.


Day 15 | Rio de Janeiro - Iguazu Falls

This morning, we will take a flight to Iguazu Falls. After landing, we will embark on a guided tour on the Brazilian side of the falls. We'll enjoy fascinating viewpoints of the falls, including short hiking tours. The route will provide us with an amazing view of the chain of falls on this side. The viewpoints will lead us to platforms overlooking the magnificent falls, offering a panoramic view of the falls. Later in the day, we will visit the impressive Itaipu Dam and explore the Bird Park.


Day 16 | Iguazu Falls - São Paulo

In the morning, we'll take a guided tour on the Argentine side of the falls. We'll start at the Devil's Throat (Garganta del Diablo) and cross the hanging bridge over the water, reaching the great waterfall. Later, using the light railway, we will pass through the extensive series of waterfalls. Dozens of waterfalls plunge with a tremendous roar. The path will lead us to the bottom of the falls, where we will board a speedboat and taste the falls from below – a wet experience. The boat will take us down the river, where we will meet the open Safari vehicle and continue the tour in the tropical rainforest. In the afternoon, we'll fly to São Paulo for an overnight stay.


Days 17 | São Paulo 

This morning, we will explore the important commercial city of São Paulo as much as time allows before boarding a flight.
