Sardinia is also home to a number of historical sites, including ancient buildings built by ancient civilizations. We invite you to join a unique journey of islands and fascinating people, cultures, and historical stories, along with a wonderful culinary blend of the two best cuisines in Europe: Italy and France.

Day 1 I Rome - Alghero (Sardinia)

We will arrive to Rome, and take a connecting flight, we'll arrive in Alghero, an interesting coastal city on the shores of the island of Sardinia. Alghero preserves to this day in its ancient part stone streets and houses built in ancient construction style, and its ancient part is surrounded by a thick wall open only on the sea side. Alghero is also a modern city where most of the city's residents live. After landing in the old town of Alghero, we will visit the old town as much as time allows and have our first acquaintance with the city's wall promenade. Overnight stay in Alghero.

Day 2 I Alghero - Sassari

This morning, we'll continue to get to know Alghero and its old town: we'll pay homage to St. Mary at the cathedral dedicated to her. We will also learn the Jewish story of the city in the "Jewish Tower," a living testament to the vibrant Jewish community that flourished here for hundreds of years, and visit the city's ancient port. From here, we'll continue our journey to the city of Sassari, the second-largest city on the island: as part of our tour of Sassari, we'll visit the archaeological museum where historical artifacts and remnants collected from across the island are displayed, bearing witness to ancient settlements in the area. And for dessert, we'll visit the special church: the "Holy Trinity," whose construction was completed during the 11th century and was designed by an architect from distant Milan. Towards evening, we'll return to beautiful Alghero for accommodation.

Day 3 I Ferry to Corsica (France) - Porto Vecchio - Ajaccio

This morning, we'll leave beautiful Alghero and head on a journey to the port of Santa Teresa di Gallura, where we'll board a ferry across the strait to Bonifacio in Corsica. We'll arrive at its harbor in the afternoon, located at the foot of the city, which is crowned by two large limestone walls. Our first stop in Corsica will be in the old town of Sartène, which has preserved its unique charm from the Middle Ages. From here, we'll continue to visit the prehistoric park of Filitosa, where standing stone pillars with carved human figures were uncovered, alongside remnants of dwellings of a population from about ten thousand years ago. Towards evening, we'll reach Ajaccio, the capital of Corsica and the city where Napoleon Bonaparte was born. Here, we'll have dinner and spend the night.

Day 4 I Ajaccio - La Calanque

We'll start the day by getting to know Ajaccio, the Corsican capital: we'll wander among the charming stalls of the local market, stroll in the city squares, and visit the house where Napoleon Bonaparte was born. In the afternoon, we'll travel along the western coast of the island, stopping to walk along the granite cliffs that make up the landscape and create varied mountains and oak forests hundreds of years old. If time permits, we'll descend to visit the town of Porto, which serves as a port for fishermen. Towards evening, we'll return to Ajaccio for accommodation.

Day 5 I Corte - Restonica Gorge - San Bonifacio

This morning, we'll travel on a mountain road passing through the Vizzavona Nature Reserve, to the city of Corte, where the Corsican independence uprising took place before the French Revolution. We'll stroll through the beautiful streets of the city, visit the city museum, and then climb to the citadel perched on a rocky cliff. From there, we'll have a view of the city and its surroundings. We won't miss a tour of the city's streets using a small train that can travel the narrow streets of the city. We'll leave the city to visit the Restonica Gorge, rich in oaks, and walk along the rushing waters. Towards noon, we'll leave the city and meander through the beautiful mountain roads, and towards evening, we'll reach San Bonifacio, sitting on the cliffs above the beautiful bay. From the dock in Palau, we'll sail to the Maddalena Archipelago, which serves as a nature reserve amidst turquoise bays. We'll visit an estate where Giuseppe Garibaldi lived and was buried, the hero of Italian unification. Overnight stay in the Porto area.

Day 7 I Sara - Nora - Arborea Region

From Porto, we'll head south and visit Sara-Nora, with buildings known as the "Giants' Graves." We'll ascend to the wild Arborea region, which was known during the Roman period as a wild area where movement was dangerous. Here, tribes lived who did not accept the rule of the conquerors and rebelled relentlessly against central rule. We'll visit the village of Orgosolo, where the walls of its houses are painted with slogans and paintings with political and social significance. We'll reach the village of Bormini, where a large and impressive stone structure called Su Nuraxi is exposed. This will be an opportunity to be impressed and try to understand the unique phenomenon unique to Sardinia - the "Nuragic culture." Thousands of buildings like these are scattered across the island, containing residential buildings, among them metal tools processed at a high level, the beginning of which dates back to the second millennium BCE, and others that continued to function until the Roman period. We'll continue to stay in Cagliari for the last night.

Day 9 I Cagliari - Nora - Tel Aviv

In the morning, we'll visit the large city of Cagliari, built on seven hills (similar to cities like Rome, Istanbul, and Lisbon). The ancient city spread over a hilltop where the fortress was built to protect the government institutions (from the 13th century). We'll start our tour at the city fortress where the National Archaeological Museum is located. We'll stroll through the old city and the remnants of the synagogue, which turned into a church. At noon, we'll travel to Nora, the ancient site where Phoenician remains were found, and an interesting inscription in Phoenician language (ancient Hebrew). Afternoon return to the city, and depending on the flight time, we'll head to the airport on our way back home.
