Corfu, the stunning island in Greece that has it all: beautiful landscapes, gorgeous beaches, and rich local culture. The island, the second largest in the Ionian group of islands, is located near the Epirus region, opposite the northeast coast of Corfu lies Albania, and to the northwest of Corfu are the shores of southern Italy. The Italian name of the island, Corfu, is a result of its distortion from its Byzantine name in the past. Meanwhile, locals still use the original Greek name - Kerkyra, derived from ancient Greek and its origin is in a mythological story - a nymph that Poseidon fell in love with, abducted her to an island, and gave it to her. As part of the vacation, we will get to know the charming island, so different from the various Greek islands, learn about the mythology associated with it, and enjoy magical taverns and unforgettable sailing around it.

Our Suggested Itinerary - Explore a past Aujo Travel trip for your next adventure
Day 1 | Arrival in Corfu
We'll depart on a direct flight from Tel Aviv to Corfu, upon landing on the magical island, we'll meet the local team and transfer to our hotel for initial arrangements and to enjoy the hotel's amenities. If possible, we'll attend a Greek dance workshop. Accommodation and dinner.
Day 2 | Tour to Paleokastritsa and the North of the Island
Today, we'll start the day with a drive westward on the countryside road to Paleokastritsa, one of the most stunning beaches on the island, where we'll take a one-hour boat trip and visit the Blue Caves among the cliffs. We'll continue north to a panoramic viewpoint at "Bella Vista" and gaze towards the picturesque bays of Paleokastritsa and the breathtaking view of the Corfu valley. From there, we'll travel to a local farmers' market, where you can taste homemade liqueurs and excellent olive oil produced in the village. We'll continue on a breathtaking scenic route to a viewpoint from which you can see the entire northern part of the island, and then we'll arrive at a sandy and beautiful beach overlooking the town of Saranda in Albania, where we'll stop for lunch and swimming for those who wish. After the break, we'll continue our journey back south along the eastern coast road of the island, full of lush vegetation and stunning bays. Finally, we'll stop at the bays of Kouloura and Kalami for a view of the narrow strait to Albania and the sea. After the tour and sailing, we'll return to the hotel for accommodation and dinner.
Day 3 | Tour in the Old Town of Corfu
This morning, we'll enjoy a bit more of the hotel's facilities and towards noon, we'll head out for a short tour of the old town of Corfu. The old town is a tourist complex that allows you a glimpse into one of the oldest cities in the world: during the tour, we'll learn about the story of the old town, see its impressive buildings, and try to delve into the Jewish story of the city's inhabitants. After the tour, free time will be given in the city and then we'll return to the hotel for accommodation and dinner in a local tavern: in the early evening, we'll travel to a special and traditional village where one of the famous Greek taverns is located, which many people from all over the world have come to. to enjoy a live performance of authentic Greek music accompanied by a singer and a bouzouki player. We'll eat from the best dishes of Corfu's local cuisine, including appetizers and main dishes (meat only), drink locally produced wine and ouzo. The feast will be accompanied by traditional village dancers. A special experience and an unforgettable evening. Including a full meat meal and free wine.
