Day 1 | Montenegro - Kotor - Cetinje

We will depart on a flight to Montenegro. Upon arrival, we will join the local team and embark on a journey to the southernmost "fjord" in the world, the Bay of Kotor. The Adriatic bay forms a large geographic tongue, giving the bay the appearance of a northern lake similar to those seen in Scandinavian countries. Upon reaching the town of Kotor, after touring the city, we will ascend one of the most beautiful scenic roads in the world to Lovćen Nature Reserve, where we will spend the night.

Day 2 | Cetinje - Lovćen - Njeguši - Durmitor Nature Reserve - Žabljak

The morning will begin with an ascent to one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Montenegro, offering a panoramic view of the entire country. From this remarkable vantage point, reachable after climbing several hundred steps – a worthwhile effort – we will continue our journey through the town of Njeguši, along one of the most scenic roads in Montenegro. We'll pass by magnificent turquoise lakes formed as a result of dam construction in the area, en route to Durmitor Nature Reserve, one of the most beautiful natural reserves in the Balkans. We'll navigate through the towering mountains and reach the water crossing point in the heart of the reserve. There, at Trsa, we'll get acquainted with the local mountain culture, unique summer villages where local shepherds roam during the snowmelt season in search of new grazing areas, learn about the special agricultural culture, and unwind by the Black Lake before setting out for a delightful walk around the lake. Accommodation and dinner in the Žabljak area.

Day 3 | Durmitor Nature Reserve

Today, we embark on a day of marvelous nature in the heart of Durmitor Nature Reserve. The reserve is an isolated Alpine ridge surrounded on all sides by vast and majestic canyons, some of the deepest in Europe. The day will begin at the Black Lake, a beautiful lake which is actually a connection of two small Alpine lakes nestled at the foot of Mount Durmitor. From here, we will proceed deeper into Durmitor Reserve and embark on short and fascinating hiking trails in the reserve. We'll pass through a small alpine lake and hills adorned with impressive karst formations to the viewpoint overlooking one of the gems of the reserve – the Ice Lakes. We'll continue to explore the area as much as time allows and return to the picturesque town of Žabljak for the night.

Day 4 | Žabljak - Tara River Canyon - Kuči Mountains

This morning, we'll depart for the famous bridge over the Tara River. We'll hear the unique story of the bridge, linked to the partisan struggle against the Nazis in World War II. The bridge connects two high mountain ridges, creating one of the deepest valleys in Europe. From here, we'll proceed to a special tour to the interesting summer villages of the Biogradska Gora Nature Reserve, to the picturesque village of Lipovo where we'll embark on an easy hiking route in the rich area with its numerous crystal clear rivers and special fishing farms. After touring the village and its surroundings, we'll continue our journey to Kuči, for overnight stay and dinner in the spa and relaxing town.

Day 5 | Kuči - Jeep Day in the Biogradska Nature Reserve

This morning, we'll meet our off-road vehicles that will accompany us for the day and ascend to the beautiful Biogradska Nature Reserve. We'll start our tour in the reserve with a visit to a local katun, a picturesque summer village located at the foot of the high mountains, where we'll learn about the unique way of life in the summer villages, agricultural crops, and taste local cuisine. We'll continue our off-road journey to magnificent viewpoints and prime blooming meadows in the area. By midday, we'll admire the stunning Biogradska Lake from a high vantage point and begin our descent for off-road driving/walking down to the lake itself. Upon reaching the lake, we'll embark on a walking tour around the lake through lush green forests and breathtaking reflections. After the lake hike, we'll return with our off-road vehicles to Kuči for overnight stay.

Day 6 | Jeep Day - Kuči - Plav Lake - "Blue Eye" Spring - Gusinje - Kuči

Another day of additional and spectacular off-road adventure in eastern Montenegro... We'll depart for a journey towards the Bjelasica and Komovi ridges, driving through katuns (summer villages) and broad leafy forests, ascending the mountain ridges, with beautiful vistas. We'll then reach Plav Lake, a stunning glacial lake at an altitude of about 906 meters, located near the border with Albania. We'll start with a tour along the Plav Lake, combining visits to picturesque villages, breathtaking scenic drives, and easy walks in green valleys... We'll visit the springs of Ali Pasha, and later embark on a hiking trail (1-2 hours) to the "Blue Eye" spring. We won't miss a visit to the border town of Gusinje, a beautiful and tranquil town known as the "Dubrovnik of Montenegro". The town is inhabited mainly by Albanian-origin residents, mostly Muslims, a quiet, hospitable, and peaceful population. Towards evening, we'll return to Kuči for an overnight stay. Overnight in Kuči.

Day 7 | Kuči - Coastal Area - Budva

This morning, we'll leave the hotel in Kuči and head south again towards the coastal area. En route to the resort area of the Adriatic Sea, amidst stunning green landscapes, we'll pass through one of the deepest canyons in Europe, the Morača Canyon, on a beautiful road that was built through the mountains during the days of Yugoslavia in the 1950s to connect Belgrade with the coast. In the canyon, we'll make a brief stop to admire the picturesque monastery located there. From here, we'll continue to the picturesque portion of Lake Skadar, considered the largest freshwater lake in Europe. The lake is a unique area of nesting grounds covered with water lilies and nymphs and rich in waterfowl. At the end of the day, we'll descend to the coastal road that will lead us to "the Dubrovnik of Montenegro," the tourist town of Budva, an ancient beautiful town surrounded by a wall on a small peninsula, with high mountains rising near the coast providing a stunning backdrop.
