Georgia - A unique hiking expedition in the stunning Svaneti region of Georgia

The High Caucasus is a compact region in the southern foothills of the Greater Caucasus range in western Georgia that has become, in the last decade, a magnet attracting adventurous and curious travelers from around the world. Imagine a space where, in one sweep, you encounter a vast mountain system composed of snow-capped peaks and glaciers, including the highest peaks in Europe (over 1,000 meters above sea level)! Rushing rivers, magnificent waterfalls, and within the wild nature, authentic villages where time seems to have stood still: unique cultures and languages, clusters of the tallest stone towers in the world, culinary delights, and friendly locals – then the High Caucasus of Svaneti is your destination this summer! For many years now, we have understood that to experience such a complex and special region, one must trek through it, passing from one village to another, where we can taste the unique spaces of the High Caucasus while also being guests, even for a moment, in one of the most complex regions in the world, both ethnographically and theologically.
